Home / Where we work

Eight western states

Both services in every state we are licensed in. Crews leave Central Oregon and stay on site until the job is done.

Dashed: license in process. Yellow dot: home shop.

How a traveling crew works

The crew mobilizes to the project and lives near it. They do not commute, so nobody loses an hour at each end of the day, and weather or schedule changes are absorbed by people already on site.

Lead hands who have run jobs this size come back project after project, so a new state does not mean a new crew. The crew is sized to the work, not the other way round.

It costs something, and we say so up front: travel and per diem are on the bid, which is why traveled work starts at about $50,000.

What gets you a real number fast

  1. The drawings
Or whatever exists. A partial set is fine.
  2. The site
Travel is part of the price, so location matters.
  3. The window
And whether the date is fixed.
  4. The scope
Framing, erection or both; GC or owner.

Coverage questions

Which states are you licensed in?

Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah and Alaska. Arizona is in process: we hold a business license there but are not taking contracting work yet. Check any contractor with the state board under the company name.

Does out-of-state work cost more?

Travel and per diem are line items on a traveled job, shown in the number rather than hidden in it. That puts a practical floor of about $50,000 on out-of-state work. Above that, distance matters much less.

How fast can a crew get there?

It depends on what is already running and on steel lead time, which often sets the date more than crew availability. We would rather look at your schedule and tell you straight whether we can make it.

Send the drawings. Josh prices it himself.

A partial set is fine. Tell us where the job is and when it has to be closed in, and you will hear back from the person who will run it.
